2023 Notice of Tax Sale
Pursuant to Section 254 of the Community Charter and Sections 645 to 672 of the Local Government Act, the Town of Qualicum Beach is required to publish the legal description and street address, if any, of the properties subject to tax sale.
The following property will be offered for sale by public auction on Monday, September 25, 2023 at the hour of 10:00 am in the Qualicum Beach Town Hall, Council Chambers, first floor, 660 Primrose Street, Qualicum Beach, BC, unless the delinquent taxes, plus interest, are sooner paid:
Notice to Prospective Purchasers
Successful bidders must pay the upset price by cash, interac or bank draft immediately following the tax sale and must pay the remainder of the full bid price by cash, interac or bank draft no later than 2:00 pm on the date of the sale. Failure to pay will result in the property being offered for sale again at 10:00 am on the following day.
Purchasers of tax sale properties should be aware that they will NOT have the right to receive title or possession until after one year following the date of the tax sale. During this period the registered owner of the property has the right to redeem the property from the tax sale thus cancelling the sale.
